Funding Information.


We accept 15 and 30 hour funding and payments from tax free childcare and childcare voucher accounts.

Changes to Childcare Funding from April 2024.

From April eligible working parents of 2-year-olds will be able to access 15 hours childcare support from the term after their 2nd Birthday.

From September 2024, 15 hours childcare support will be extended to eligible working parents of children from the age of 9 months to 3-year-olds.

From September 2025, eligible working parents with a child from 9 months old up to school age will be entitled to 30 hours of childcare a week. 

These hours can be used over 38 weeks of the year or more if you stretch your funding to include holiday club- please email admin@woodlanderspreschool.co.uk for more details.

If you are eligible to receive 15 hours funded childcare you will need to set up a Government gateway account to receive a code- We will need this code to access the funding. Please click the link below to register:

Tax free Childcare.

To be able to apply for Tax Free Childcare you, and any partners, must be over 16 and each earn (on average) £139 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage). 

​you could still be eligible if you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you're unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities,. 

​You would not be able to claim Tax-Free Childcare if either you, or your partner, each individually expect to earn £100,000 or more​

You can use Tax-Free Childcare all year round to spend on registered childcare, including Early Birds and Fun Club bookings

You can use Tax-Free Childcare whilst claiming 15 and 30 hours free childcare.

You cannot use it if with Universal credit, Tax credits or childcare vouchers:

​For every £8 you pay into your tax free childcare account, the government will automatically add £2, up to the value of £2,000 per child per year (or £4,000 for disabled children)- you then can use this money to pay your nusery fee’s.
